The Mini 90 Neo Classic (2013) was Fuji's positioning shot at the upper end of the Instax Mini market. Black-and-chrome cosmetic styling deliberately echoes 1980s 35mm compacts. Modes include **double exposure** (two pulls of the shutter for one composite frame), **macro** (close focus), **landscape** (infinity-locked), **kids/sport** (faster shutter), **party** (slow sync flash), and **bulb** (up to 10 seconds). Powered by a rechargeable NP-45A lithium-ion battery — atypical in the Instax line, which usually runs on AAs or CR2s.

Released October 2013. Production ran 11 years, ending 2024 when the Mini 99 took its place as Fuji's top-end Mini. Multiple cosmetic editions were released — black, brown, "neo classic" leather wraps. A later "Mini 90 Mickey Mouse" Disney edition appeared in some Asian markets.
The Mini 90 was the first Instax to acknowledge that some users wanted creative control. Double-exposure and bulb modes especially gave instant photography back to photographers who wanted intentional results, not just party snapshots. The retro design helped sell it as a lifestyle object — the Instax line's hipster-shelf aesthetic became real revenue for Fujifilm.
For 2026 buyers, the Mini 90 used at $120–200 is a significantly more capable Instax than the Mini 11/12 entry-level cameras, and a cheaper alternative to the new Mini 99. The trade-off vs the Mini 99 is no color-effect dial, slightly older meter, and the discontinued battery (the NP-45A is still available aftermarket but supply will dwindle).
Fixed lens. Compatible Instax Mini film cartridges. The official Fujifilm strap and pouch were sold alongside.
