The Canon Canonet QL19 (1965) is the f/1.9 sibling of the QL17. Same Canonet body, same Copal leaf shutter, same coupled rangefinder, same QL Quick Load. The lens is **Canon 45mm f/1.9** (5 elements / 4 groups) — slightly slower than the QL17's f/1.7. Production ran alongside the QL17 through 1972; the QL19 was the budget option for buyers who didn't need the extra 1/3 stop of speed.

Released 1965 alongside the QL17. The QL19 G-III (1972) was a refined variant matching the QL17 GIII's improvements. Production ran 7 years.
For 2026 buyers, the QL19 is cheaper than the QL17 ($80–200 vs $120–250) for nearly identical capability. The 1/3-stop speed difference between f/1.7 and f/1.9 is rarely meaningful in practice. The QL19 is the budget-conscious entry to the Canonet rangefinder line.
Lens fixed. Standard hot-shoe flashes via leaf shutter sync.
