The Kodak Retina IIIc (1954) is a folding-bellows 35mm rangefinder camera made by **Kodak AG (Stuttgart, Germany)** — Kodak's German subsidiary. Unlike American Kodak cameras (Brownie, Instamatic), the Retina line was high-quality precision German equipment. **Schneider-Kreuznach Xenon 50/2** taking lens (sometimes Heligon), Synchro-Compur leaf shutter, coupled rangefinder, uncoupled selenium meter on the front. Folds flat — bellows retracts into the body when closed.

Kodak Retina line started 1934. The IIIc (1954) added rangefinder + selenium meter. Variants: IIIc Small C (original, 1954) and IIIC Big C (1957, with brighter finder + interchangeable lens system). Production ended 1958 as 35mm SLRs took over.
For collectors of German precision cameras with Kodak branding, the Retina IIIc is iconic. Used at $150–400. Folding bellows design is uncommon among rangefinders. The Schneider Xenon 50/2 is genuinely sharp.
Retina bayonet (rare interchangeable variants). Most IIIc cameras have fixed lens.
