Profile notes
KODAK PROFESSIONAL EKTACHROME Film E100 is a daylight-balanced color reversal film with a nominal sensitivity of ISO 100/21°. Originally discontinued in 2012 along with the broader decline of E-6 slide films, it was relaunched in limited 35mm supply in 2018 and in 120 format in 2019, responding to overwhelming demand from the film photography community. The reformulated emulsion delivers extremely fine grain (RMS granularity of 8), a low D-min for bright, clean whites, and moderately enhanced color saturation with a neutral color balance. It features a low-contrast tone scale that preserves shadow and highlight detail simultaneously — ideal for scanning. Ektachrome renders natural skin tones and consistent gray scales, making it suitable for portraiture, fashion, and fine art. Available in 135-36 and 120 formats through Kodak Professional and major photo retailers globally.
