Profile notes

Kodak Gold 400 is a medium-to-fast speed consumer color negative film delivering the warm, vibrant color palette characteristic of the Kodak Gold family at ISO 400 sensitivity. It has gone through several naming phases over its history — originally Kodak Gold 400, then branded Kodak GC/UltraMax 400, and later circulated under the Gold 400 label again in various markets. The film provides good grain for its speed class, excellent color saturation, and wide exposure latitude. Processed in standard C-41, it performs well in mixed lighting and is suitable for everyday photography, events, and travel. It is closely related in heritage to Kodak UltraMax 400 and both share the T-grain emulsion lineage. The Gold 400 name designation remains active in certain regional markets.
