Profile notes

Fujifilm Fujichrome Astia 100F (RDP III successor) was introduced as a refined professional slide film optimized for portrait and fashion work. Unlike the hyper-saturated Velvia series, Astia was designed with a notably lower contrast curve and gentle saturation that preserved subtle skin tone gradations without the harsh greens and reds of other slide emulsions. It offered fine grain at ISO 100 and wide exposure latitude by slide film standards — approximately ±1.5 stops. Astia 100F was produced in 135 and 120 (medium format) sizes, popular with fashion, beauty, and editorial photographers. Fujifilm discontinued Astia 100F in 2013 as the professional slide film market contracted with the widespread adoption of digital capture. No direct successor replaced it in Fujifilm's lineup.
