Profile notes

Fujifilm APS 400 was produced for the Advanced Photo System format, a joint development by Fujifilm, Kodak, Canon, Nikon, and Minolta launched in 1996. APS used a smaller 24mm-wide magnetic film cartridge (IX240) that never gained the widespread adoption of 135 format. Fujifilm offered several emulsions in APS cartridges, with ISO 400 being one of the more versatile consumer options suited for indoor and outdoor use. The APS format was officially discontinued around 2011 when Fujifilm ceased production of APS film stocks. APS cameras cannot accept standard 135 film and APS negatives require dedicated scanners or labs. The format is now considered fully obsolete, though some remaining stock can still be found through specialty retailers.
