Profile notes

Fujifilm Pro 400H (H denoting 'High Speed' within the professional lineup) was one of the most respected professional color negative films of its era, particularly popular with portrait, wedding, and fashion photographers. Introduced in the early 2000s as a refinement of the earlier Pro 400 formula, it featured Fujifilm's 4th color layer technology enabling improved shadow detail and wide exposure latitude. Pro 400H was designed to be slightly overexposed (shoot at ISO 200–320) to achieve its characteristic airy, high-key rendering with delicate skin tones and a subtle cyan/green cast in highlights and shadows. Available in 135 and 120 formats, it became a defining emulsion of the film photography revival era. Fujifilm discontinued Pro 400H in March 2021, citing reduced demand — a decision that was controversial in the film photography community. The film is now highly sought after on the secondary market.
