The film works by rerouting two of its three color couplers — blue light is recorded in the red channel and red light in the blue channel, while green remains in the green channel — creating striking, kaleidoscopic color shifts across the entire tonal range. Outdoors and in natural light, the results are most dramatic: skies shift to orange, foliage turns blue-toned, and warm subjects take on cool purple casts.
