REFLX LAB 50D is sourced from Kodak Vision3 5203 (50D)—the finest-grain color negative motion picture film available—respooled from 65mm stock into 120 medium-format rolls. The rem-jet layer is preserved, requiring ECN-2 processing. Kodak Vision3 50D is daylight balanced (5500K) and delivers virtually grain-free images with vivid, true-to-life colors and the expanded highlight latitude characteristic of the Vision3 family. The film is optimal for studio portraits, controlled outdoor work, and any situation demanding maximum resolution. ECN-2 processing yields finer grain than C-41 would, making ECN-2 the only viable path for this stock. Reviewers note outstanding skin tones and authentic color reproduction.
